Kitchen Sink Bowl Posted on February 7, 2024 I’m sure you’ve heard of the saying “They threw everything in including the kitchen sink” and that’s what I call this bowl. It’s so versatile, similar to my egg bake that I posted on here. The kitchen sink bowl can be constructed with just a few basic categories to make it your own. I’ll show you an example of what I made, but the possibilities are endless! All you need is a grain, some vegetables, source of protein and a sauce or some kind of dressing. Voila! Perfect way to use some of those fridge leftovers that aren’t enough for a whole meal, but ones you also don’t want to toss because it hasn’t gone bad yet! Win win! Ingredients: 1 cup couscous 1 cup taco meat 1/2 cup cabbage 2 tablespoons of onions 1/4 cup radishes (It’s a german thing haha) 1/4 shredded carrots 2 tablespoons of tzaziki 1 cup chopped arugula spinach mix I throw everything together in a large bowl and mix it well. Easy for dishes too since all you have to clean is the cutting board, knife and bowl! Try this recipe next time you need to get rid of some leftovers and let me know what you mix it with to make your own kitchen sink bowl! Here are some other items you could substitute the categories with as well to help you mix n match your perfect yummy combo. Grains: Quinoa, Rice, Farro, Couscous, pasta/orzo, Barley Protein: Chicken, Turkey, Pork, Beef, Sausage, Tofu, Legumes, veggie burger etc. Veggies: Cabbage, spinach, salad, tomatoes, peppers, radishes, zucchini, squash, potatoes, chickpeas, broccoli, corn, etc. Sauces: Any salad dressing, hummus, tzaziki, EVOO, Balsamic etc. You can also add other toppings such as croutons, nuts, seeds or even chia or hemp hearts! ❤️ (Another bowl this time with veggie burger as my protein!)
